In an effort to improve the user experience of mobile users, Google Search is now including speed as a ranking factor for all mobile searches. Implemented in July, the change brings mobile searches in line with desktop searches (which have included speed in rankings since 2010).

Google Ads has also acknowledged the importance of speed, and is making changes to ensure landing pages load more quickly. From October 30 it will become mandatory for all Ads accounts to implement Parallel Tracking, an enhancement that sends customers directly from ads to the final URL. This enhancement will help load landing pages more quickly, which can reduce lost visits and ultimately improve lead generation opportunities for your business.
